Game idea


The idea here is to make a game that is fun and exciting, same as when you open your presents and you don't know what's inside!

The game is top-down, the player can move in all four directions. The setting is one single room.

The room fills the screen, the entire room is visible at all time.

Presents are poppping everywhere in the room randomly. They can be of different sizes.

The player tries to obtain as many points as possible in the time limit. The timer shows the time remaining.

Points are added when the player open a present, at the Table. Opening presents takes some time.

Presents can be trapped (fake presents) and they make the player loose time, some time is substracted from the timer.

Bigger presents are worth more points. But they also make the player lose more time if they are trapped.

There are obstacles in the room (randomly placed?), and the player cannot go through them, he should go around.

The player can gather as many presents at once as he wants but the points are added to the score only if those presents are opened. So, the player has the choice to carry a lot of presents at the same time to save time, or to be safe and open a few etc...
